In the realm of international urban dance, hip hop served as an escape for choreographer Rauf Yasit, allowing him to break free from the monotony of his everyday life in Germany and delve into a world of endless possibilities. The graffiti and tags adorning the walls of buildings appeared to him as cracks, revealing unexplored realms such as urban dance.

Today, urban dance has evolved into a fiercely competitive industry, demanding recognition on the global stage and requiring a high level of professionalism. For CRACKS, Yasit, now a sought-after hip-hop choreographer based in Los Angeles, returns to the place where it all began for him. Teaming up with the Urban Arts Ensemble Ruhr, they embark on a quest to rediscover their roots. Together, they breathe life into the liberating cracks and childhood dreams, exploring the stories that have shaped their bodies as dancers. Together they create an enthralling dialogue that intertwines childlike play with professional aspirations, naïve curiosity and flawless execution.
